The Rowan Hotel

We had a really great stay and would definitely return. The breakfast was fantastic — a full cooked breakfast with bacon, sausage, egg, beans, tomato, hash brown, black pudding and even haggis, plus toast, cereal, juice, tea and coffee. Plenty of choice and very filling. The location is ideal, situated at the quieter north end of Blackpool, with a tram stop right at the end of the road. The owners were really helpful and told us about a great value tram ticket — £10 for a full day covering two adults and three children, which we made great use of. The hotel also has a small bar which was very reasonably priced compared to other places locally. One evening we ordered a Chinese takeaway and ate in — the hotel kindly provided plates, napkins, and cutlery, which made it much more comfortable. Most of all, the hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really made the stay special. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about our stay. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. The room was quite warm for our personal preference, as we’re more used to sleeping in a cooler environment, but this is purely down to individual taste rather than a fault. The only other minor point is that on the walk from the station we passed a few run-down or empty properties, but this is outside the hotel’s control and not near the hotel itself. Overall, nothing negative to report — we had a really enjoyable stay.

The managers who run and own the business went out there way to make sure I had everything I needed and it was a comfortable stay with a newborn baby. They both was very friendly and inviting. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable with perfect room temperature on a hot sunny day. Love the added extras and the handmade swan towels was a lovely touch. I have already booked my next stay direct through them.

I couldn't fault anything the hospitality was perfect and more.

Quiet, clean and tidy, the hosts Madeline and John are exceptionally nice. Breakfast cooked by them is excellent.

Shower room was very small but workable .
