The Rowan Hotel

Everything was amazing and how a B&B should be. The breakfast that John did was one of the best I have ever had. I even got to try haggis which was really nice! The room was spacious, had everything you need and was lovely and clean. We had a drink or 2!at the bar in the evening which is reasonably priced. What really makes this B&B above all others is the hosts John and Maddie who made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, they both put their hearts and souls into this place and work so hard. I also have to mention George and Jeff that work there too. We had drinks with them in the bar also with John and Maddie. We had such a great conversation and laugh together. We arrived here as guests and left as friends. We will be back soon and we can’t wait! Thank you James and Helen x

Parking right outside location right by tramstop located on north shore but easy to get into town. John and Maddie lovely people friendly and superb hearty breakfast by john.superb comfy bed. Was a last minute trip so ok for 1 night but wouldn't stay for longer .

Double room very small tiny en suite basin in bedroom with only 1 triple plug socket not good as everything needs a charger these days. En suite a small shower and toilet with a step into wouldn't be good for elderly or bigger people.dated room needs updating and more sockets. No individual bedside lights. So was either off or on.We're there for one night last minute trip so was just a bed for the night. Booked a double room but seemed to get a small double.

Maddie and John made us so welcome, beautiful room, spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing with American pancakes for the children. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Rowan. Maddie and John were very welcoming and friendly, we were made to feel at home, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious, loved tbe haggis!

Wonderful B&B on the North Shore. Maddie and John are exceptional hosts where nothing is too much trouble. Great breakfast and will accommodate any reasonable ask. We had a family room which was comfortable and spacious. Would highly recommend, what a B&B should be with the added personal touch of two fabulous hosts 😊. We will see you again soon!
