"Ideal as a very convenient spot to stay close to the station, with character and ambience."

Nice 'character' to the room - top floor with gabled ceiling, nice open plan space with plenty of room to move.

There was enough space for a small desk and chair which would have been more comfortable than working on the couch, but no big deal.

"Be aware It's a self check in"

Be aware its a Self Check-In Bed and Breakfast, there is no mention of it when you book it, but you will receive the email with complicated instructions once the booking is made. If you prefer the personal approach best to avoid it. Has to cancel it, as there was no reassurance about this place, especially if you arrive there for the first time in the evening you would expect someone to be there to meet and greet.
