Nice, clean and spacious room

It was a big and nice room, with huge windows and a lovely view of the park outside. It was very clean, and smelled really nice. The owners were quick to answer our questions, and seemed really polite.

It was a bit cold for us, despite traveling from Norway. We didn't take our freedom to turn up the heat, nor did we ask. It would probably be costly to heat up a room with such a high roof. There was nothing to complain about.

Heating didn’t seem to be working

Roel was very friendly and most helpful. And what a gentleman towards my sister and me! (Both of us are old-age pensioners.) The room is large, with a high ceiling, wooden flooring and is extremely tastefully decorated. The bathroom is perfectly modern with an adjustable shower head. The area, especially for the rear rooms with balcony, is quiet and faces a lovely, green park. Also conveniently close to the station.

The property was perfectly located for access to the town centre and train station, both within easy walking distance. Roel the owner was very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful, going above and beyond what we hoped for!

No complaints

When we stayed earlier in the year it was warmer so never used the heating or expected it to be on ! So didn’t realise at Xmas it would be a major issue !

Sadly we found no heating in the bedrooms working , which meant it was bitterly cold, too cold even for a grown man who rarely feels the cold or our 20 Yr old who’s fit but he couldn’t stand the cold bedroom & bathrooms with no heating. For me it was so cold my Rheumatoid arthritis become so painful I couldn’t sleep in such cold rooms . The downstairs as supposed to have under flood heating but it’s controlled by house owner so we spent a very cold week feeling so let down for an expensive place. At that time of year we need warmth . We found the rooms never got above 15/20 in the day and night time was far worse as no way to heat the spacious house or retain some warmth from the day . Our whole holiday was ruined as ended up all getting nasty cold bugs and not able to sleep . There was no spare bedding f needed, we bought extra blankets for all of us as just couldn’t cope ! We found the so called bath towels the size of hand towels how on earth could any adult use these ??? So angry as also very tough , tried washing them hem all and using softener but to no avail they remained like cardboard . Only fit for drying dogs ! We had to stay out a lot to find warmth at friends house we came to see for Xmas . They said it was far too cold for them too at this rental house and appalling state to rent out like this in winter months . They are Dutch & live close by !!!
