Such a beautiful peaceful setting! Sitting outside with a whiskey, the loudest sound I could hear was the sheep from the pasture across the valley... a lovely retreat from busy life. Emma and Josef were fantastic hosts. The hot breakfast in the morning offered choices and was substantial and delicious.

There was nothing that I would change.

Very friendly hosts. Fabulous room and bathroom with stunning views. Well equipped. Delicious and plentiful Breakfast - excellent cooks and service. Not far from Inverness and tourist attractions. Lovely to be in a peaceful spot rather than the hustle and bustle of the town.

Nothing - perfect!

The room was very clean and well organized, with a comfortable bed. The location was also very good. The hosts are very attentive. The breakfast is incredible, everything freshly made and very varied. A great option for anyone looking to stay near Inverness

Very pretty views from outside the property.

Like walking into a cold retirement home with an overwhelming smell of cleaning chemicals that doesn’t come out of your clothes. From the offset, the owners had proven that the room was clean, but I can only imagine how many cleaning chemicals and fabric fresheners were used before entering as our senses and all personal belongings were assaulted with the overpowering smells that wouldn’t ease over the duration of our stay. However, the stay was far from as comfortable as we hoped. Cheap and outdated furniture and fittings - thin bedding, expecting proper hotel linens for the price. Lighting is too harsh and clinically white, making it feel like a waiting room, not a place to be comfortable and relaxed in. Thermostats are unadjustable and not in English, meaning we were freezing for the duration of our stay. Facilities are outdated and/or are unusable. Television is very temperamental and far too small. SO TEMPERAMENTAL that the owners had acknowledged this and still hadn’t changed it, but left instructions on how to use it. Bathroom facilities such as wooden towel rail and toilet roll dispenser fitting were all loose and wobbly, to the point where the owners have successfully weighed them down with a dumbbell weight… something easily replaceable and nicer to look at. Decor of the room is very mismatched, outdated, uninviting and not very pleasant to look at. Overall, we felt uncomfortable here. The owners may have come across nice, but they seriously need to give the place a facelift before considering to let out some of the rooms. If they can pay for fine dining and gloat about it, then I’m sure they can afford to pull out a few stops to make the place feel like you can stay there.

The location is so peaceful with views of the Culloden viaduct. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was excellent each morning
