Claire and John were very accommodating and the we loved the great rural location with lovely views

Very comfortable and stylishly furnished room with excellent facilities, generous sized contemporary bathroom and luxury toiletries; the highlight was the breakfast area with full glass windows affording a 180 degree view of the mountains and countryside at sunrise; the breakfast itself was delicious and beautifully presented - guests can choose from a wide range of modern healthy and nutritious items. The setting itself is quite secluded and very peaceful - perfect for a relaxing break. Hosts John and Clare were friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

Everything about this B&B was superb. John and Clare were excellent hosts. My husband and I needed a quiet escape for my birthday, and they delivered! We're introverted and exhausted parents so the private entrance with coffee and tea was a wonderful touch. The porch was perfect for late night card games. Breakfast was divine! Delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely perfect. The room was cozy, comfortable, clean, and well maintained. I cannot say enough about this wonderful lodge. Its proximity to Hay-on-Wye allowed for wonderful bookstore browsing during the day. We are already excited to return!
