Donner Lake Inn

This is a beautiful little place. We stayed in a room with one queen bed and a bunk bed with three beds. Had two boys with us for a snowboard event at Boreal, which is a seven-minute drive, allowing us to drive them to the event at 8 am, come back to the hotel, shower, eat their nice breakfast, and head back up at checkout at 10 am.

Great for family; motel-style parking in front of room and easy arrival (no check-in needed, just open with door code). Breakfast came with great rotation of things

Clean and neat

Our hosts Nina & Jim were warm and welcoming. The Inn is a picture perfect mountain retreat. Our room was wonderfully appointed, a great Franklin stove, super comfortable bed, very cozy. The breakfast was healthy- the overnight oats - Yummy, homemade banana bread - outstanding, high tech coffee machine to more than satisfy the coffee aficionado and the hot chocolate - Lucious. If you’re going to Donner Lake, your first choice should be the Donner Lake Inn…!!

Very good for grab and go with a hot option, plus the usual oatmeal, Greek yogurt, boiled eggs, granola, etc. Had a coffee machine that produced lattes, hot chocolate, like 10 options, but no decaf coffee

The Inn is great, the hosts are warm and friendly and the breakfast is delicious. Totally recommended.

I liked the checking process and that the code was convenient so we didn't need to deal with key cards that don't work and we could arrive when it worked for us. The breakfast seemed fine but I couldn't eat any of it because of food limitations. I did like you set up thou.
