Everything about this place is amazing - the location is beautiful, the rooms were great and really spacious, and the food was incredible. And the hospitality of the hosts was even better! We felt super welcome and had a great time. The best experience of it all was the dinner; we were sat on the outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains, amazing food, hummingbirds zooming around, nice sun, and great company. 100% would recommend, this was probably the best accommodation we've ever stayed at in the US. (Also, shout-out to Shadow and Sammy; the dogs made us feel even more at home).

The hosts, Frank and Sandra, were very friendly and attended to all our needs. We recommend paying extra to get the wonderful German dinners and delicious wine. The breakfasts were like a smorgasbord of cold things, then a hot cooked dish was served. There were farm animals to look at, friendly dogs, adorable Rufus hummingbirds. The deck feeders allowed an up close and personal experience with the tiny birds. Our every need was met. I cannot recall a better 3 course dinner with tenderloin beef. Extraordinary! The hosts are people-lovers.

Double G Ranch has exceeded all expectations, We got a room upgrade at the start, the whole communication (via whatsapp) and then in person with Frank has been outstanding. This is a 20 of 10 points! Absolutely recommended and worth taking additional 50miles if you are in the neighbourhood. The rooms, the views, the surroudings, the animals (beeing wake up by the sound of horses, the humming birds), the stars at night! Everything is perfect about this place! A must stop if you drive MIlion Dolar Highway or visit Black Canyon of Gunisson.

Everything! The hosts Jack and Sandra were the best. Very sweet people. The location was perfect too get away and relax but still within 45 minutes of Ouray, Telluride and many more. The dogs(Shadow and Sammy) were great. The breakfast and the room were very nicely done!

This working ranch is so beautiful that the winding road approach is worth it. Horses, goats, rabbits, hens (in a cute henhouse) that provide your breakfast eggs, and very friendly dogs that will accompany you on the many hiking trails. Presentation of food on the lovely patio (featuring many hummingbirds at their feeders) is artfully done, and the full German style breakfast is extensive. Friendly owners will show you around and give sightseeing advice. Stargazing is breathtaking this far from town.

Steps required for entrance, but owner helps with luggage. Must give advance notice if you want a full German dinner.
