Old Monterey Inn

Undoubtedly a gem in Monterey. My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at this Inn, and we had a wonderful time. The Garden Cottage room was very comfortable and romantic. You will feel very relaxed as you walk through the beautiful and peaceful gardens and enjoy the relaxing aromas lingering in the air from the abundant flowers. Breakfast was served at 9 am, and of course, it was very delicious. The General Manager, Wendy, was attentive to our needs and made us feel comfortable. She made our stay pleasant and, without a doubt, gave us the desire to return.

I cannot recommend Old Monterey Inn enough. My husband searched for the perfect hotel to take my parents for their surpise 70th birthdays and this did not disappoint. Ying is the best host. She is there upon arrival to warmly great you and give you the history of the Inn and how your stay will flow. Each room is so magical and its own. My favorites were the Brightstone and the Library, however you truly cannot go wrong. I love that breakfast is hosted family style at 9 AM sharp. I highly recommend eating in the dining room with theother guests. It was so special and nice to meet others and break bread. In the evening there is music, an amazing fire, wine and cheese in the parlor. The ambiance is so perfect and sets the mood for a perfect weekend in Monterey. The beds, pillows and sheets are so comfortable for a perfect nights sleep. We will 1000% be back! Thank you Ying for the most perfect trip!

What a wonderful place to stay and be pampered! Wendy and her crew go the "extra" mile to make you feel like family. Very delicious breakfast(s). and great service. Loved the evening wine service and cheese plate. Hope to see your place this Christmas. John, Liliana, and Harlow (grand daughter).
