B&B Mamma Rosa Positano

Stunning views, excellent breakfast and an incredibly helpful host Angelo, who went out of his way to help with various items eg offered his own gel ice pack when i sprained my ankle (and kept re-freezing it a few times every day!), stored our luggage for an additional day, helped us get a very reasonably-priced private car/driver to airport etc. The property location is also fantastic - just out of the crowded/heaving/over-touristy Positano centre, but close enough to easily pop into town/restaurants/beach or ferry. Also feels much more laid back/authentic than the jammed Positano and of course - has absolutely stunning views! Will definitely stay here again should we ever return - thanks you Angelo and team!

Stunning view, very clean and Angelo was an absolutely excellent host!

Guests need to be fit to climb the stairs up to the BnB and transportation around the area can be a bit complicated.

The view was amazing, the breakfast was spectacular, but above all, our host, Angelo, made this experience 10000x more enjoyable. When we were arriving to Positano, he always helped with communication and told us exactly where to go and what were the buses we should catch. He replied very fast every time I had questions and was really sweet. He even brought our suitcases so we didn’t have to climb the stairs with them. Me and my friend couldn’t ride a scooter and since the bus was a bit random at night, Angelo helped us and gave us rides sometimes which really made our experience way better because the hotel is a bit far away from the main spots in Positano. It’s nice and quiet and in the morning you can hear the birds singing and enjoy breakfast with an amazing view. The bed was super comfortable, the WiFi and AC worked great and we were provided with beach towels because we didn’t bring them.

It’s a bit far away from the main spots and you have to climb a lot of stairs, but it’s information you already know when you’re booking and that’s the charm of this spot.

Absolutely loved our stay at Mamma Rosa! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our exceptional host, Angelo. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, helping us carry our luggage up the stairs and guiding us through the area upon our arrival. His hospitality truly made a difference. The location of Mamma Rosa is perfect—quiet and serene, offering a fantastic view that we couldn't get enough of. Each morning, we savored a freshly served breakfast on our balcony, enjoying the stunning scenery that surrounded us. Overall, our experience was unforgettable, thanks to Angelo and the beautiful setting of Mamma Rosa. We can't wait to return!

Owner of the house is fantastic, kind, super responsive and always willing to help. Helped us with restaurant reservation and bus services! View from the balcony is as on pictures - really wonderful 👌 Stairs actually is not that bad, considering all the Positano is stairs and steep streets up and down the hill. Of course taking luggage up is a bit of a challenge, but as I said it's a challenge in general in Positsno :) Place was spotless clean 👌

Private bathroom is located on the other side of the corridor outside the room. It's really close, spacious and good, but you have to cross that corridor 😉 I still give 10 stars to this place, we liked it 🫶

Our stay at Mamma Rosa was absolutely incredible! The views were incredible from morning to night. Waking up and seeing Positano and the sparkling sea right outside our balcony was such a treat. What really made our stay special, though, was our host, Angelo, from the freshly made breakfast everyday to the restaurant recommendations, he really made us feel so welcomed and apart of his beautiful family. Cannot recommend enough and cannot wait to return!

Náš pobyt bol úplne úžasný a určite sa sem ešte radi vrátime. Už pri príchode nám Angelo ochotne pomohol s kuframi z taxíka, čo sme veľmi ocenili. Každé ráno nám nosil chutné raňajky a počas celého pobytu sa pravidelne zaujímal, či nám nič nechýba a či sme spokojní. Bol veľmi príjemný, milý a ochotný vo všetkom pomôcť. Vďaka jeho prístupu sme sa cítili naozaj vítaní a ako doma. Pobyt môžeme len odporučiť.

Amazing views

A little too far out from the main place .

The views from the room were unreal. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. Angelo was very helpful and hospitable before we even arrived. He helped us arrange transportation to the property and during our stay. He answered all our questions quickly and fully. The activity ideas and connections he provided were wonderful. The breakfast at Mamma Rosa’s is delicious! In addition, the property is walking distance from several restaurants that draw people staying in the town center of Positano.

The property is about a 20 min bus ride from the town center and beach (I wouldn’t recommend driving), but it’s also really nice to be able to get away from the crowds and chaos. From street level, there are a lot of stairs to climb in order to get to your room, but after eating amazing and huge dinners, the stairs help get the body digesting and feeling good!
