Beautiful old house which is absolutely charming. Lovely big room with modern bathroom keeping traditional style of period features. Really comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and a great host. We could not have asked for more. We absolutely loved our two night stay which was made better by the personal touches and local knowledge of the host Detta. You can cook a meal in the shared kitchen, so take some food as it is quite remote.

Detta is a wonderful host. We did really enjoy our stay, especcially small talk in the morning and at tea time.

Lovely old house , full of character , large comfortable rooms with complimentary furnishings. Guests have use of small kitchen and can cook a meal or snack. The host Detta was extremely friendly and accommodating. It was lovely sitting around the large dining table with fellow guests enjoying a cooked breakfast. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks Detta.

Beautiful room and lovely host.

Traditional Scottish home beautifully presented as a B&B. Detta (the host) runs an immaculate and well appointed establishment. Located on the ever popular NC500 route. Ample onsite parking and convenient for exploring surrounding area.

Detta is a wonder! She ( and tradespeople) lovingly restored a Mansion built in the Highlands in 1854. Ultra clean and well kept, extremely spacious room, modern bathroom and bed. Small but very well equipped kitchen, a must as its a good drive to food in Thurso. Bring a nice bottle of wine and something microwavable /bakeable, or cook from scratch as we did. Gorgeously kept, extensive gardens! Fabulous locations for short or extensive walking in our 3 days here.

Excellent and quite location near Bettyhill and Thurso. Nice fresh cooked breakfast and friendly host.
