MONSOON Eco Resort

To sum it up we probably had the best time ever at Monsoon Eco Resort. Vishy and Seneth are the loveliest and most caring hosts you can think of. Together with their staff they made this a truly unique and unforgettable experience. You come as a guest and leave as a friend! The place itself is an oasis in the middle of nature with lots of small details everywhere and very close to Pottuvil Surf Point. Another thing to point out is the delicious food which is always prepared fresh and with local ingredients.

This place is completely amazing. The location, the stunning garden, the beautiful and super comfy huts, the relaxed/zen design and ambiance of the whole hotel ground, the super delicious fresh food and drinks, the extra attentive and adorable staff, the services and assistance provided with transportation, sight seeing, etc... and bonus points to the top professional, top responsive, top friendly owners.

The place is just an ordinary gem! You can feel the love and passion Vishy and her husband have put in this place. They are so helpful and understanding with everything. The food is home made and really tasty and authentic. I would always come here again.

Very cosy and unique place to stay, perfect to escape everyday life and to wind down. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay and definitely recommend this place!

When we booked our stay at Eco Monsoon Resort, we did not expect to find such a gem! The hosts are amazing and made us feel at home the moment we stepped in. These are real people, offering their home, time and local knowledge to make your stay as good as it gets. All the food is prepared by the hosts - definitely real Sri Lankan cuisine at its finest here. The meals are wholesome, cooked with a lot of heart and soul; a mix of dhal, rice dishes, different roti, potato, veggies, fish, chicken and seafood, paired with fresh juices, proper coffee and/or chai kept us craving for more every day. Also, they are great at managing the spiciness levels and if you want to go all the way, you can. The resort itself is a very unique, beautiful refuge. It is authentic, charming & peaceful and provided a quiet and lush oasis. It is a place to enjoy, have great talks and get a good rest after a day of surfing or exploring the coastline. Yes, the surfing hub of Arugam Bay is a bit of a ride away, but that is part of what makes the place: Less crowds, more authenticity. Within a short distance from Eco Monsoon, there are two lesser-known point breaks that kept us entertained and let us enjoy some uncrowded sessions. So, if you're up for an authentic experience away from all the crowds, give this place a go. We enjoyed it - the unpretentious accommodation, the homely food, the heartfelt hospitality, and the early morning surfs. We'll be back. Thank you and see you soon.
