MONSOON Eco Resort

The location is 10 min walking from the beach and 20 min from pottovil surfing. Location is quiet, yet close enough to the beach and surfing point. The garden of the property is beautiful with a nice seating area for breakfast and dinner.

We were located in the hut which is rather small and dark and expensive at 100 usd/night. . The other small houses seemed much nicer. Dinner was good quality but also priced higher than prices in sri lanka (even compared to touristic prices). Breakfast was nice but very limited.

Beautiful place for stay with the family outside the craziness of Arugambay. The food was of a very high standard and facilities perfect.

Not much. Be aware that juices and coffee are not included in the breakfast. But again those are of a very high standard again and definitely worth it!!

We loved the friendly welcome and amazing home cooked food in the evenings, the space was so lovely and relaxing! We also loved the outdoor shower with accompanying geckos and little baby frogs. Great recommendations given as well. Thanks Vishy!

Staying at this beautiful property was like being in a dream! There are various options but I stayed in the treehouse which was so cute (very instagrammable😅). It’s set in gorgeous gardens with various lovely plants and flowers, and only a short walk from the beach. The dogs are super cute and food delicious. The very best thing for me were the owners - Vishy and her husband are incredibly warm and welcoming and have decorated the place so gorgeously! There’s art everywhere and you can really see the passion they have for this very special project. I was so sad to leave - it was one of my favourite places in my entire month-long trip.

Made our stay in Arugam Bay. A super comfortable place to stay for a week, with lush surroundings and a great attention to detail. The food was so delicious and the staff and owners incredibly welcoming and always on hand to offer tips for how to enjoy our time in the area. Especially in a place like Arugam Bay where there isn’t a great deal to do other than surfing, staying in a place like Monsoon made all the difference.

Great place to stay nearby the beach. Well decorated by a lovely family. We really like the layback vibe. The food was good as well.

The barking dogs, but that’s more a Sri Lanka problem.

Beautiful property, lots of trees, good Sri Lankan breakfast and lovely staff

Vishy and the team were so welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until we left, the food was amazing.

Hammock only in pictures. Restaurant food is overpriced for what you get. No chocolate offered either.
