The accommodation consists of two separated little houses, each one lovingly designed, and offers a great value for money choice. The host and his family are super friendly & welcoming, provide outstanding traditional breakfast (& dinner on request) and share good stories & tips what to do. Sajith (host) event took us on a little hike to a nearby mountain that has a great view over the surrounding landscapes. We enjoyed his funny stories about various encounters with wild elephants that live nearby a lot. Quiet location with good access to sightseeing spots. Easy check-in & check-out process, payment is done before check-out in cash. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a deep dive into the real Sri Lankan culture.

This is a lovely accommodation nearly in the middle of the jungle. Sajith was an amazing host who was super kind and told us so much about Sri Lankan culture, politics and Buddhism. He also showed us a nice view point that isn’t as crowed as the other famous once’s in Sigiriya 😌 The breakfast was so so good every single morning with a huge variety of truly Sri Lankan dishes and each and every single one of them tasted amazing!

Loved staying at Grand Freedom! Really great value for the size of the rooms. It’s a very small guesthouse with only two rooms (for now!) which was awesome because it felt super quiet and homey! The family truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and the homemade dinners were absolutely incredible!

Wifi was a little spotty but otherwise no complaints!

Everything!! From the location to the amazing food freshly prepared by the family! (Soooooo good! Best homemade curry with lots of love and care!) Such a lovely family and I feel so honored to have stayed with them! Thank you for welcoming your guests as a part of your family!

The room is a bit damp.

Sajjid and his family where the perfect hosts, he had some great recommendations of things to do in the area. He organised a safari and local cooking class for us along with some viewpoints to go to. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner was some of the best food we have had in Sri Lanka its a must try. Cant recommend the stay enough

A nice value accommodation around 30 minutes walk from Sigiriya. We had nice conversations during the breakfast where we were able to ask questions about Sri Lanka.

The accommodation was quite humid but that's to be expected given the location but don't expect to dry wet clothes in your room (I'm sure the owners can arrange that for you tho)
