Kate's Nest Guesthouse & Backpackers

It was a great experience. The highlight of any branch of Kate’s guesthouse is the staff, so respectful, so hospitable , so kind, so helpful, so professional. They truly make you feel like family. Not just in Windhoek but the same in Oshakati. The ambience as well, so creative and well decorated. The establishment is well kept, safe , quiet. For a second I felt like I was on a tropical island. Best budget friendly place to stay in Windhoek, you get way more than what you pay for. The fact that the rooms were named after different towns with brief explanations about the towns, was such a lovely touristy touch.

The shower in the room we stayed in wasn’t clean. Children staying in the hostel made it impossible to enjoy or even experience the swimming pool at all. It’s not possible to find a taxi to or from the establishment at normal price due to location and safety, you will have to pay double price or use yango. I wish I was aware of this in advance.

Privacy is great and the fact that there's no time limit to which you come and go

I liked everything

I enjoyed the calmness and quietness within the area. I love the welcoming and supportive staff and I will surely recommend Kate to friends and family.

That rooms don't have a small freezer.
