Peggyslea Farm B&B

We stayed in the family room which was exceptional by family room standards. It was large, airy and the bathroom was lovely with separate bath and shower. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were super friendly and is a great place to take kids.

You will struggle to get an uber, but plenty of local taxi firms.

Not knowing a lot about local geography, I thought we'd be in the middle of nowhere (not a problem, anyway) but although there were all the benefits of a rural location (very peaceful, beautiful setting and scenery) there were pleasant towns a few minutes drive in both directions. Using P&R to get to Edinburgh for the day was also easy. Peggyslea Farm itself was wonderful. Our room was clearly signposted to us (we arrived in the evening) and was spacious and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds, and an excellent shower in the bathroom. Tea and coffee and kettle in room, were easily able to get fresh milk for drinks from the kitchen. Useful local info pack in room and no bother with WiFi. The family running the B&B were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was generous and filling. Couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Meeting all the many animals was a great experience, particularly the friendly dogs and the lambs (as we visited in Spring). Would recommend to anyone. It's all on one level too, so no tricky stairs to navigate!

Het voelde als thuiskomen, wat een plek! Erg ruime kamers in een prachtige omgeving. Alles klopte: van het ontbijt tot de enorm lieve gastvrouwen, de dieren en de omgeving. We voelden ons hier erg thuis en hebben van elk moment genoten. Dankjewel aan de hosts en graag tot ziens in Grobbendonk ;-)
