Another Room

Very friendly & welcoming hosts who we enjoyed chatting to on arrival & over breakfast. Plenty of information provided & advice given about where to dine out & what to see in the area. Pleasant walk to beachfront & restaurant area on first evening & easy bus ride to town on second day from where we took a tram-ride to Leith & spent most of the day exploring. Big & varied breakfast which we were encouraged to take away to eat since too much for us!

No off-road parking. Situated on busy road so traffic noise bothered us particularly during the night. Too warm to leave windows shut. Bedding too warm for summer season.

The breakfast was outstanding. Lynne fullfiled all our wishes. She and her husband Rob gave us many good recommandations for our day trips. The view from our room was beautiful.

Lynne and Rob were extremely knowledgeable and helpful on the area and how to get around along with suggestions for local sites. The breakfast was overwhelmingly large and I was very appreciative of the packed To go breakfast lunches when I went on early day trips!

Wonderful hosts, people who enjoy their guests and bend over backwards to ensure comfort.

Lynne and Rob were wonderful hosts. The room was very well equipped, the location was fantastic, so easy to catch the buses around town and the breakfast was great. We left early for a tour one morning and Lynne made up a great hamper for us to take along. Lovely people and highly recommend a stay at Another Room.

Lynne and Rob were amazing hosts, we felt really well looked after during our stay. The room was lovely, bright and comfortable. The breakfast was great, much more than we expected, it really set us up for the day. It’s very easy to get to the city centre, while also being close to the beach. We had the best of both worlds. By far, the best B&B experience we’ve had!

Excellent service. The room is very clean and the breakfast is lovely. Rob and Lynne are very accommodating. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent: close to the beach, and the bus to the city center stops right in front of the house). The neighborhood is quiet, and there are restaurants close by. The breakfast is delicious and copious (and they will have you pack a few scones and pancakes for the day), and the hosts go above and beyond, they are so lovely and helpful, you'll want to come back. Overall, if you have a chance to stay here, don't miss it, very highly recommended!

Very welcoming hosts, breakfast super complete and good. Accessibility to either part of Edinburgh is very easy either by foot or by buses.

The room (and the sheets) were a bit too warm for our liking, but that's quite a stretch to find something we didn't like !

Our hosts were the epitome of what a B&B has been and should aspire to be. A place to stay in comfort and enjoy a good morning meal. But also a peak into the true live of the place where you are staying. Talking to them in the morning became was truly a great way to start each day. Due to our personal situation they also provided extra care and attention to detail showed how delightful the Scottish Hospitality really is. Thank you Lynne and Robert for such an amazing stay, one we wish we will repeat someday!
