The Studio at Maspie House

Stay in Falkland was wonderful, also because of our accommodation in The Studio at Maspie House. Apartment was totally amazing with stunning view. There was everything what we needed and wished. Breakfast had a lot options to choose from, as well as the time of serving. John was pleasant host, he explained everything after our arrival and he gave us a lot of advices (f.e. where to eat etc). We could also go to the garden with small pond and it was totally beautiful. We want to go back, immediately :) It was not our last visit, we loved it so much and thank to John for warm welcome :)

Nothing, everything was perfect and available, maybe as a cherry on the pie, paper tissues on the table :)

This was very up-market accommodation in the middle of a popular historic village. The room was large and attractively furnished. The continental-style breakfasts were very good indeed.

Access to the internet is an essential these days, especially if one is paying a premium price. We had two iPads, one iPhone and one Android phone. Unfortunately we couldn't connect with any of them for the first two days of our three-night stay. It soon became clear that our host wasn't an expert. We were given instructions that were too small for our ageing eyes to read easily. When the login process asked for a password we correctly entered the code marked "password" from the information, but to no avail.. On Day 3 a visiting family member worked out that, surprisingly, "password" was not the password required. He experimented with other microscopic information and In the end we were able to connect. We were then able to instruct our host on the information he should have provided. Hopefully this is now solved, so others will not have the same problem. Though he apologised profusely, we weren't offered any refund for the inconvenience and lack of facility that we experienced, and this left a sour taste and took the edge off our stay.

The breakfasts were both great, and John delivered them to our room on time, and removed them in a timely manner. In fact, he was always quick to respond to any request.
