San Michele Guest House

Owners were excellent accommodation was clean and in good condition we thought furnishing was a bit dated.

We are used to booking accommodation with an on-suite which we missed.

We booked this accommodation based on the good reviews about the hosts, and the breakfast, but these didn't really do either justice. From the moment we arrived Karen and Stafford made us unbelievably welcome and the breakfast exceeded all expectations, being freshly made, from good quality ingredients. When we drove to the guest house we were a little worried about the area as we had to drive past derelict dock buildings but the road San Michelle is located on is nice and a few minutes walking in either direction took you to the beach, a local country park, or the brilliant Poole Quay. Throughout the week Karen and Stafford offered great advice on places to visit and as we had to leave early on our last day they kindly made us a lovely packed breakfast to take with us. I cannot recommend San Michelle highly enough.

Absolutely nothing bad to say.

The room was clean and adequate with it's own sink. Parking was off road and free. Breakfast was excellent, attention to detail was exceptional.

The TV was very small. The locks on the door were fiddly. The shower door didn't fit properly.

Very convenient and clean guest house, great location near the park and beach, friendly and helpful hosts.

Could not understand if the garden may be used by the guests because there are its photos in the offer

Stafford and Karen are the friendliest and most charming hosts - nothing's too much trouble. They do a mean breakfast - cereal of chice, as much juice, tea/coffee as you can drink; a delicious "cooked breakfast" [with tattie scone!] and as much toast as you can eat. Sets you up really well for the day.

Out of their control - long-standing road closures on Blandford Road North [south of Aldi] which necessites a considerable detour to drive TO them - it's open northbound.

Very welcoming, the hosts were very friendly and couldn’t do enough, I felt very at home. The room was bright, clean and tidy on arrival and cleaned every day whilst I was out. Breakfast was great to set you up for the day. Walking distance to Poole town/Quay/Poole Park and regular buses only yards away if required. I couldn’t fault it I had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Breakfast!!

Very noisy early in the morning as my room looked over a busy road. Parking a little tight and difficult to find as the sign was missing

The breakfast was delicious and filling. The location was a little awkward when I first got there as my sat nav tried to send me over a bridge that's been closed for weeks. OK once I found the alternative route and knew where I was going it was fine. Nice big room which was great. The owners were friendly and helpful, especially as somehow I manged to lock myself out of my room.

Only thing I would say is that there is only 1 bathroom and toilet, which can be tricky, I usually prefer my own facilities. That's the only downside
