AMOUR AT TURTLE BEACH

Everything! The 2 floor house with a big room on each floor. The big breakfast on the patio of our room. There is a menu for dinner and Don, the owner, is a real Chef he cooked for us delicious meals during our stay. Make sure you give your choice in the morning. The house is surrounded by nature (you will see monkeys, birds, etc) the lagoon and the large Turtle beach is just 5min walking distance. The area is quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Amour at Turtle Beach is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the environment. Don will take good care of you during your stay and he can even propose transport service to your next destination.

Excellent stay close to the beach and turtle center. The room was big and confortable breakfast was delicious and Don was very helpful

Don was so lovely and helpful, he couldn't do enough for us, super host. The property is in a really pretty little area with a few restaurants and it had a lovely feel to it. Lovely beaches but can ve very rough so not suitable for swimming

Amour is in a quiet location, close to the beach. Beaches are beautiful. There is the opportunity to see turtles if that's your thing at Rekawa Beach. Really good breakfasts, served on your balcony from where you can watch countless birds and monkeys. Good sized room, with a desk area at the side, lovely balcony, massive bed, bathroom was modern. Host was great, really helpful and attentive. Provided good local info and organized onward transport for us.

Seemed to have a problem with wifi in the afternoons ... is it perhaps metered? Bed was a little creaky ... probably just some joints need tightening.

The host is very kind and caring, he explained every attraction near by, even organized for us to see the turtles breeding. Location is great exactly near hy the beach and restaurants. It is very romantic and peaceful, not many tourist. Breakfast is delicious sri lanka style. We got homemade coconut wraps and onions, fruits, coffee, eggs, yogurt. A lot!

Absolutely charming host. Very quiet location with very large room and garden with glimpses of lagoon view. A few minutes walk to the turtle beach.

It would be good if water was automatically supplied as no local shops but the host could supply it.

I am on a 3-week trip around Sri Lanka and this has been my No. 1 highlight. Accommodation was just as advertised, if not better - great location (5 minute walk to the beach), spacious airconditioned rooms, lovely jungly surroundings and great views while sitting outside and having breakfast every morning. Peacocks, squirrels, wild parrots - to name just a few species... normal daily views/visits without even stepping outside of the garden. Incomparable peacefulness. Sri Lankan breakfast was great and kept me full until dinner. They also provide lunch and dinner, upon request. Last but not least - Ruchira, the landlord, was the best host ever. He took me around when I just arrived to show me what is where, provided valuable tips and arranged for me to go see the sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach one night. All in all - the accommodation, as well as the village and the beach, is perfect for people who, like me, seek peace and quiet. The overall vibe is homey and friendly. There is no loud music, there are no beach bars, there are no watersports - amazing.

I only didn't like having to leave, but I will be beck 100%. No complaints.
