The Palace by Ocean

Architecturally interesting modern design small hotel-lovely rooms well appointed with 2 pools indoor/outdoor-nice setting-charming staff available at all times-can offer lunch and dinner if requested.. We did a 2 day stopover as we had friends to visit. Really good size outdoor swimming pool. Recommend for stopovers and short stays

No fridge in our room. Located not too far from the sea which you can't swim in but couldn't find any beach restaurants either so very limited for things to do-but very nice hotel

Man braucht ein bisschen, bis man wirklich in Bentota ist.

Overall, we liked the hotel. It is small and cozy, and there are not many people, which is a big plus. The staff were very caring and helpful. There is a beautiful little courtyard for breakfast. A shop is nearby, and there is also a beautiful wild beach. In hotel was a very fiendly and professinal driver who offered many interesting trips around the city.

There were very few fresh options at breakfast, only a small plate of fruit. We would have liked more things like salad, ham, cheese, pancakes for the kids, and similar options, not just fried eggs and plain bread. The beach is also a bit far from the hotel.
