Braeside

A beautiful, tasteful property in a tranquil location. The hostess is welcoming, considerate and thoughtful. We were treated more like family than guests. And with an equally tastefully decked-out pub within walking distance - with excellent quality food and local beer - what more could you ask for? Wins hands down over more expensive accommodation such as the oddly- named 'Cookie Jar' in Alnwick (Marketing following fashion instead of classic, subtle and intelligent positioning - in my view of course!) Stay here - you will not be disappointed!

The property is lovely, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and very clean. Sally was a brilliant host, the breakfast was excellent (do mention in advance if you have food preferences or restrictions) Would definitely return, the village is quiet but the pub there is lovely for a bite to eat, and there’s stuff to do in the area in spades! You’re 20 min drive from a lot of nice walks and the seaside!

Sally the host and the lovely Minky were superb. Very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was amazing really top quality and very filling. The house is lovely and so quiet. Great location just 7 miles from Alnwick. Great pub 5 min walk away.

Lovely property. Sally and her gorgeous four legged friend were fabulous hosts! We had four nights and enjoyed it immensely. Our room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. Great en-suite with an amazing shower. Cooked breakfast available every morning.

Nothing. But worth mentioning that the WiFi was poor. The property could probably benefit from an extender as signal was very low in the room we were in. Not a big issue for us as we were not in the room very much.

Quiet village location, with lovely village pub serving good food including gluten free options in walking distance.
