Hordley Hall

Charmantes B&B in einem sehr ruhig gelegenen alten Landhaus mit freundlicher Gastgeberin. Das im besten Sinne altmodisch eingerichtete Zimmer war groß und gepflegt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, und die nächtliche Ruhe war herrlich.

In den Details ließ die Sauberkeit an manchen Stellen etwas zu wünschen übrig. Insgesamt vielleicht etwas überteuert. Und, kein Problem für uns, aber für manche vielleicht wichtig zu wissen: Die Zimmer sind im ersten Stock, also nicht barrierefrei.

Location was peaceful and quiet.

Room very cold and told by the owner that we couldn't have the heating on. Kettle was full of limescale and when tried to change it we were told, I've been here 50 years and it hasn't effected me. I had a telephone call at 2301 from someone asking if we could go downstairs and let the other guests in as the front door was locked, bolted and chained. Can only say that the owner had locked the front door and went to bed! I have no idea where the person obtained my phone number from but it was from a campsite 16 miles away and apparently the daughter in law of the owner. Definitely would not recommend.

Location was very peaceful countryside and nice views. We had a comfy nights sleep and the dressing gown was an added bonus. We missed the Breakfast unfortunately as we had to leave early at 7.00 so unable to comment.

A beautiful grade 2 listed building. Fantastic views over an amazing garden, and Hazel (the hostess ) made us so welcome. Breakfast was the best ever!!!, cooked to perfection and her home made jam was the icing on the cake. Thanks so much for a memorable stay.

Nothing!!! Everything was just as expected

Lovely host, immaculately clean good sized room, good selection of towels, tea and coffee making provisions. Very quiet area with beautiful surroundings perfect for a Shropshire get away.

The bed was a bit too soft and did not support my back adequately.

Difficult to find

The owner Hazel she is a nice lady that will make sure everything is as you would expect to be. Nice en-suite room and a nice breakfast in the morning. Also the front lawn has 3 apple trees which are very tatsy :) I would recommend!!

Nothing that owner could do, the smell from the farm next door can be quite strong sometimes depending on which direction the wind is blowing;) but overall not to bad. I would return if ever in the area again.
