Hordley Hall

The welcome we got on arrival , the house was lovely and traditional, rooms very comfortable and the views from the two windows on both sides of the room was lovely to wake up to each morning, breakfast was as full or as simple as you like , the whole house was super clean, bed linen was not just comfortable but also pretty. We loved our stay . Hazel was only too willing to tell you all about the area. Will visit again.

That we only stayed two nights

The host and her welcoming attitude. The property was clean, well kept, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, there were a lot of locally sourced products and she made her own jam which was exceptional. (I even asked to purchase one of her jars of jams, which she gladly gave)

Lovely property, in a great location. Easy enough to find but then feels very tranquil and remote. Offstreet parking. Really nice room, comfortable and with adequate space in both the room and en-suite. Tea and coffee facilities, plus good range of breakfast options. My host was very welcoming and provided all necessary assistance.

My only criticism would be lack of WiFi - which in itself wouldn’t be much of an issue but the phone signal was sketchy, so this would have been a nice-to-have addition.

A beautiful setting, very clean,comfy beds and pillows, great breakfast, and Hazel, is the perfect host. Will definitely recommend and return if in the area.

Peaceful location in rural area 3 miles from Ellesmere which has much more to offer than we realised. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. It was just over an hour drive to Manchester airport to drop our hire car off the following morning. Not a modern B & B now but the grounds are beautiful and I was surprised by how close a navigable canal was. Picturesque Hordley St Mary the Virgin very nearby

Not an issue as I had "roaming" on my phone, but it seemed wi-fi was not available. Relevant as we had to check in for flights the following morning.

Breakfast was excellent, location brilliant. Hazel is an absolute gem

Absolutely Nothing

Lovely location, nice and quiet. Breakfast with local produce. Owner recommended an excellent pub for a meal.
