Garh Meera - A Sensational Boutique Hotel

They didn't do proper check in at arrival, we stayed for one night, so after checking out they marked as no show. This is totally terrible experience. They also turned off the AC. Note: please don't book safari from the stay. The package includes camel safari and folk event and food in tent stay. This complete package is of no worth.

The room is very classic and spacious. The beds were nice. The staff are polite and attentive to your needs.

Some very minor things, which I feel there's no need to mention here.

We had booked 6 rooms for a couple of days. The property was very comfortable. The host was very friendly and accommodated our special requests graciously.

The building is beautiful, and the location is great, 15 minutes walking to the fort, the staff is very friendly and attentive, they were kind enough to receive us at the hotel very early in the morning when our train got to the city. The rooms are clean and very well decorated. Definitely recommended!

This is hands down the best hotel I have been in India not even close. It's very clean, all the facilities are modern and working perfectly. The staff Is very polite and helpful. This is an example on how to run an hotel!!

Lovely property with spacious and clean rooms. Very cool interior design! Locations and wifi also great. Rooftop cafe does nice food as well - we loved the pancakes. The owners are very responsive and helpful too. If you want to go to the desert I highly highly recommend booking the desert safari sleeping under the stars through them. Was absolutely beautiful and there were no other tourists around so it was very serene. Our guides Ghambila and Hussein were incredible - cooked up delicious food and taught us about India culture/history. One of the most unique things we’ve done in India and far better than the tours to Sam dunes!! Thank you so much!

This was one of my favourite hotels during my trip in India. Mainly, because the staff looked after us very well. On our first night, I tripped over some rubble walking home from dinner and cut my foot open. The staff saw me limping in and were very concerned. They came to our room with some plasters, but also went and bought me a tube of ointment so it wouldn't get infected. We also got food poisoning at the end of our stay and the staff were messaging to see if we needed a doctor and brought us more toilet paper and even some chai the next day. They were so lovely and made us feel well cared for. Beyond that, the room was huge. The decor was really nice too. Very unique. I especially liked the little lights in the alcoves near the ground. They gave a nice ambience at night when I would read in bed. The hotel is located outside the fort/old city, but it's only about a 15 minute walk in for sightseeing or you can get a rickshaw too. There is a rooftop restaurant too, but it wasn't open for dinner (we came in Monsoon season, so lots of things in India are a lot quieter). The staff gave us a recommendation for a place nearby that was open for dinner and even called to make sure they would be open for us.

The air con struggled to cool the room as the room is so large, and Jaisalmer is very hot. The power also occasionally shut off, but this seems to be a common occurrence in India. The lights usually stayed on, but the air con and power points would stop working. They usually turned back on again in around 10 minutes. There's also no shelf in the shower to put your toiletries on, so you need to put them on the floor.

I really loved the staff of the hotel. They were very helpful, polite and quick at responding. Even the hotel's owner Sahil was very helpful in planning our sight seeing. From food to laundry service to arranging transport Sahil and his team were hands on! The most important thing for a traveler is how comfortable they are in a new space and place. We were very comfortable staying there. The hotel is also very close to the bus stand. It is very accessible. So that was a plus too.

I can't point a finger at something that i didn't like there. There is nothing to write in that regard. I wish we were in Jaisalmer at a different time of the year. That's all!

Great hotel. Great staff. Perfect stay. Do check out the city and fort view from the terrace at night.
