Ryad Hamza

Das Frühstück war zwar kein Buffet, aber sehr gut. Die Lage ist sehr zentral am Fana-Platz, allerdings muss man von der Taxistation zum Ryad ein paar Minuten laufen. Die Zimmer waren sehr gut, allerdings muss man sein Gepäck hochtragen, wobei wir Hilfe bekamen.

La ubicación y el personal

El Riad es muy bonito y la ubicacion es perfecta ya que esta a 3 minutos de la plaza principal. El personal es muy agradable y te ayudan con todo lo que necesites. Recomendable 100%

Friendly staff, great setup with (as far as I know) a very good presentation of a local style in the commons, beautiful rooftop (above most its neighbors with good views of famous minarets in the distance). Breakfast was french inspired (lovely bread, croissant, scrambled eggs looking very omelette-like, crepes style pancake, juice, coffee and tea if you desire) included. Room was well designed with newish fixtures in WC. Someone at the desk 24h, so no fear for a late night too. Always like a fountain too, which the commons is blessed with too

Can be noisy as rooms aren't insulated like a traditional hotel, so a snore might be heard or your neighbours coming home or conversing, not overly loud but its a different space than a conventional hotel. Modern mapping and geolocation is well established for the network of alleys that make up the district, but you could find yourself disoriented without access or some other impediment. I was on ground floor but it may get warmer as you rise between levels, though that is speculative and rooms are equipped with AC, so it would be mitigated.

External and internal noise at unsocial hours impacts the ability to sleep. Despite being tucked away in a small alley, Ryad Hamza has excessive noise levels, especially passing motorcycles. Staff can't do anything about this but could control other guests better and make less noise setting up for breakfast. Just something to live with if you don't mind being woken up very late and again very early. Can't pay for the accommodation by credit card, only in cash (local currency or Euros). Staff did message me beforehand to let me know.
