Karoo Ouberg Guest Lodge

The stay was unique, we loved staying in the old house, it almost feels antique and we just appreciated the feeling the house offered. Gave us a sense of peace. We also enjoyed the clean pool and the picnic tables.

The house was unfortunately very load during the night, i think if the rooms are located as they are with wooden floors as it currently is, there should be a friendly request to all guests to please be mindful of other guests and should be quiet after 10. We woke up all hours of the evening because of loud and socialising guests walking up and down the corridor.

Friendly reception. Very good for pet friendly accomodation. A lovely garden to sit on the stoep and for dog to sniff around. Nice spacious and clean room. Room with airconditioner was very pleasant in the Karoo heat. I will return.

The place was clean. Just a basic accommodation for lay over, nothing fancy.

The carpet in my room. Although it was clean, I am not a fan of carpets. The host didn't have a welcoming face.

Réservation et arrivée tardives, le personnel était présent pour nous accueillir. Parking fermé sécurisant, chambre équipée.

Le frigo ne marchait pas et avait coulé dans la chambre, nous avons nettoyé le sol. Un peu trop cher pour une chambre à deux lits simples en comparaison des établissements que nous avons réservé durant notre séjour en Afrique du Sud.

The location and spaciousness of the room

Could see that it was cleaned very quickly, spots where missed, the towels did not look clean like you would expect. Also after about 10min of using the aircon it started poring water at the front which means the drain pipes are clocked, this ended with us having to switch it of and using only the van in the heat of the Karoo.
