Prakesh was a really helpful and kind host. It was behind the main road, so it felt tranquil and safe. Loved the rooftop terrace. Huge room, clean and a nice balcony off my room.

The host was SO LOVELY and kind. Really helped me a lot and was always available. Good location - 5 minutes down hill from the Ganges. The room was big and had AC etc. comfortable bed. Felt really safe as a single female traveller and would definitely book again :)

Excellent home-cooked breakfast. Very helpful housekeeper.

Design of bathroom was very poor and water pooled in a large area under the sink, after bathing, as it leaked from the shower glass. Bed was too hard for our liking.

The accommodation was very clean, in a quiet area 15 minutes walk from the bridge. The surrounding area was very beautiful and the owner was extremely hospitable! Thank you for everything 🙏

Good location and very good host.

Prakash is a perfect host. He really looked after my friend and I very well, cooking us a special meal when we were unwell and making sure that we had plenty of water and anything else we needed. The breakfast is wonderful and plentiful, the location is quiet and safe, just a short walk uphill from the lively banks of Ma Ganga. This is my third stay at Raj cottage and I will return again next visit. If you want to be near by the foot bridges, shops Ashrams and Temples but like to retreat to somewhere a little more tranquil then Raj cottage would be perfect. Rooms have everything that you need ( I have stayed in 3 of the 4 available.) Thank you again Prakash! :)

Parkash was the best host and did everything to make my stay comfortable. Great breakfast also.

The walk up the steep hill from the Ganges. (It is possible to rent a tuk tuk) if you don’t need the exercise 😀

Evenings are accompanied by the sound of live mantras from neighboring homes, adding to the spiritual ambiance. The walk to Ram Jhula bridge takes about 20 minutes. Instead of the main road, take the steps down to the Ganges and follow the riverbank for a more scenic and peaceful route. Once across the bridge, take time to explore the ashrams, where the silence and simplicity create a striking contrast to the lively streets filled with cows, monkeys, pilgrims, and travelers. A wonderful stay for those seeking tranquility while staying close to the heart of Rishikesh.
