Villa Inglese

Beautiful home! The hosts were amazing! So friendly! We felt like part of their family. Gaynor went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and to help us find my husband’s extended family members in Picinisco.

Location with lovely views from our terrace towards the mountains. The continental breakfast was very good. The pastries were delicious and it was good to have smaller sizes, which we prefer. Delicious cherries and fruit and yoghurt. Homemade preserves and honey were also very tasty. Excellent small cappucini! 😊

The evening tasting menu was good, but top heavy with carbs; bruschetta, small bread bun with mortadella, polenta chips and crisp pasta tubes with our aperitivi. We were also puzzled by being told when served one of the courses, "Our Ceasar salad without the chicken." It was indeed lettuce with dressing and more carbs, croutons! We do hope our comments will be taken constructively. The Wines by the glass were excellent and the young lady serving was delightful.

The property was immaculate. Beautiful old building, very tastefully decorated. Gaynor and Ben were excellent hosts. We had dinner in hotel and the food was amazing, Ben and his team created a spectacular meal, presentation and taste were first class. The views from the hotel are beautiful. Cannot say anything negative about the property or hosts. Will definitely return.

Everything! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The room was so clean and comfortable and the view… well I wish I could have bottled it!

Location excellent Breakfast made with local.produce. Gaynor well informed host and Ben Hirst food at restaurant absolute joy.

Maybe cheese could have been added to breakfast for variety .

Breakfast was excellent. We were always asked if we wanted more coffee, toast, etc.. The scenery was breathtaking, the suppers and the wine choices. The chef would come to the table and explain the service we were served and the wine to pair it with and recommending local wines was a plus. Our waiter Ivan should be commended on his engagement to the Villa. I have never seen a waiter so proud of what he was serving and very gracious.
