A dream of a place in a lively village in the beautiful Appennine mountains. The whimsical architecture lures you into a warm and welcoming home where you are guests of two very kind and entertaining hosts. The crown jewel is the marvelous food that chef Ben so painstakingly creates and beautifully serves on the perfectly lit terrace. We travelled in Italy for a month and had some memorable meals but nothing quite compared to the inventiveness and intuitive sense of combining flavors we so deeply enjoyed here. The waitstaff was lovely and the sunset drinks on the rooftop deck divine. Warm thanks, Ben and Gaynor, for putting your hearts into creating an exceptional experience for your guests.

Everything was beautifully (and seemingly effortlessly) conceived and executed.... With the small exception of our very small bathroom where a shelf for toiletries and hooks for clothes and towels would have been appreciated.

Gaynor & Ben are great hosts, very helpful and passionate about their bed and breakfast and about Picinisco and the beautiful surroundings. Villa Inglese is a very beautiful and comfortable structure, with a very unique feel and atmosphere. Picinisco and the Valle Comino are really beautiful to escape the summer heat of Rome for a few days and enjoy the mountains of Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo. Great hikes and spectacular landscapes. Finally, Ben is an amazing cook and served us an excellent dinner made of several very original yet extremely good recipes based on local ingredients. The wine tasting selection was also very good! We will come back.

The entire house – the garden, balcony, the rooms – feels like something out of a 19th-century Grand Tour; it's splendid and sublime. We arrived rather late and super tired, and it probably showed, because – without us saying anything – the owners offered us an impromptu dinner, which was *exquisite* and we had it on the roof terrace, overlooking the entire valley, with the night slowly descending, accompanied by the single most beautiful cat I have ever seen in my entire life. Magical. The breakfast, obviously, was again scrumptious – gosh, the goat ricotta! (I'm getting hungry just writing about it) – served on an elegant balcony, again overlooking the valley and the hills surrounding it. Thomas Mann would have loved it – I sure know we did! Oh! And the art the on the walls, specially the photographs on the ground floor – belong in a contemporary art museum. What an inspiring place!

We had the best time staying at Villa Inglese. The rooms are all beautiful and clean and Ben and Gaynor were so helpful and accommodating. We had dinner at the villa both nights and the food was INCREDIBLE. Lots of creative dishes that catered for our dietary needs too. We can't wait to go back. :)
