Colourful BnB

wonderful stay - amazing space and views and Gert-Jan was extremely welcoming and helpful. the weather was not on our side but actually made our stay more enjoyable as we were able to use the open fire and took the oppurtunity to have our ample breakfast (provided)for our evening meal! plenty of food supplied for 6 of us for breakfast including fresh local fruit, delicious bacon, and eggs from their chickens! Gert-Jan also sells south african beer and wine to purchase which we enjoyed by the open fire. overall amazing stay and we wish we would’ve been able to stay longer.

Absolutely nothing

We picked Colourful BnB for its location on our way when travelling by car across South Africa. Honestly, we planned it just for a night break and weren’t expecting much. But Wow - we wish we had booked to stay longer and make it our accommodation for exploring the Garden Route. It's more than BnB! The house is spacious and well equipped (even some musical instruments are there). The wood for BBQ, wines and crafted beer were prepared for our arrival. We heartily thank Gert-Jan for his advice to upgrade our initial booking and for his hospitality. The hosts are really love their place.

Great views of the mountains, pool, host and the free upgrade to the main house 🏠. We also went to a tapas night with the hosts and had a lovely evening talking the locals

Nothing everything was perfect

All was perfect from the beginning to the end ! We will recommend it with any hesitations

- what a beautiful property! We loved every bit of the stay - especially the view over the beautiful nature! 1. Incredible sunrise in the morning (and general beautiful view) 2. Relaxing at the pool after or before spending the day out 3. Short drive (<5-10min) to birds eden / monkeyland / Tenikwa (we didn't try the forest spa - but also supposed to be good) and also one dinner place (peppermill); 30min drive to tsitsikamma national park, 35min to robberg hiking trail (highly recommended!!l 4. Gert-Jan and Ingrid were lovely hosts, they gave us very good recommendations, were very relaxed and we had some nice chats 5. We had some fresh eggs from their chickens (and we were also allowed to feed them - very funny to have them run towards you :)). 6. We used the washing machine and the hangers outside - very convenient (clothes were dry within 30min)

Awesome location, nice hosts :)

The accommodation was close to the bird sanctuary, which I highly recommend visiting. The accommodation has a beautiful garden, lakes, swimming pool, looking out over a beautiful valley. The host was friendly, communicative, and there are musical instruments in the common room that can be used. The kitchen is fully furnished and available.

Very calm and peaceful place. Beautiful landscapes and garden.
