Terraza Cielito Lindo

The location is ideal. While situated in a residential neighborhood it's close to del centro. There are typical urban noises for a Mexican city which we enjoy. There was hot water and the views from two open air patios are stunning and a great place to begin and end one's day.

Breakfast are actually 8:30 - 9:30 and isn't much. The coffee is reheated and not comparable to area restaurants. It would have been nice to know the street is being paved since this project has been going on for months and limits public transportation options.

I'm really sorry, i try not to post negative reviews but i was so disappointed with this stay. Cockroaches in the bathroom, no curtain at the window, a ripped towel (i raised my concerns & they replaced the towel & put a curtain up), but it set the tone for the stay really & the cockroaches remained - the place just felt shabby & uncared for. i'd booked a private room with a bathroom as a treat whilst i was studying, but it was a very poor experience

The view of the city from the terrace is amazing, and I found my bed to be comfortable. Location is decent and away from the town, it’s quiet which was needed for Day of the Dead. Breakfast was decent, fruit, breads and scrambled eggs. The hosts are very accommodating, and allowed me to store my luggage whilst waiting for the bus that evening, they even ordered a taxi for me to save the hassle of flagging one down.

Whilst the location is decent, it did take me a while to find. There’s a gate off the road with a signpost, walk through it, and up the steps to the top (maybe avoid if you have mobility issues for this reason alone) Would also recommend having a Mexican phone number to call the host as there isn’t a reception desk. Other than the signpost on the road, there’s no signs directing where to go. It appears the accommodation is split into two places as breakfast was served in the other building to where I was staying. My room also promised a balcony overlooking the city, it didn’t, I was tucked away in the corner. Would I return? Yes to Oaxaca, but maybe elsewhere next time.

Very nice and friendly hosts. Great view from any of the 4 large balconies all with good shared kitchen facilities. Loved the Oaxaca!!!! Thank you for being such lovely hosts !!!

Amazing view from the terrace. Facilities were great on the terrace. Staff were happy to keep bags from 7am onwards.

A lot was disappointing about this hotel. Most importantly, they have a serious cockroach issue (we found 4 in our room in total) and we received a completely unapologetic response when we let the staff know about it. Breakfast was just pan dulce and fruit, which isn't a complete breakfast at all. The hotel is also situated up several flights of stairs in the city, which isn't stated anywhere in the description. Lastly, they made a mistake with our booking which led us into a cramped room with the worst bed I've ever slept on. The error wasn't resolved until we complained about the cockroaches. I checked the booking again and entered everything correctly.

This was my second stay at this place and I would come back again and again, wonderful and cozy area with lots of places where you can retire. Very caring and polite workers and hostess. And the view from the window will be in my best dreams. A very beautiful street, along which you can go to the very center; there is a grocery store right opposite the stairs from the hotel. My daughter and I stayed for a week this time, but that was not enough to enjoy this place and the city. Thank you very much for your attention and hospitality.

It is necessary to take into account that the hotel is located on a hill and you need to climb the stairs to your room, but for my family this was not a problem.
