The Town Hotel

Not a pleasant place to stay. I booked in for 3 days, arrived and was horrified that i didnt even unpack and left. Requested a refund via booking.com as i didnt even stay 10 min but they didnt bother responding. Very merky, sour and unpleasant smell in the place from the bottom to the top. The carpets along the stairway to the room was filthy, stained and clearly never washed. The offish smell continued to the room. A lot of dodgy people in and out the hotel for the 10min I was there.By the time i saw the room i was already convinced that i cannot stay there. I didnt even care that id probably lose my money. Its that bad.

My wife is disabled and every time I book a holiday I always ask for a disabled room and was disgusted to find where are on the top floor and how to walk up two flights of stairs one with no handrails just not good for disabled people

It was ideal location as was there for festival. pre booked a year ago.

I did not expect for homeless people to be put in the same hotel. Some of these are well known to have drugs addictions as we see them begging on the streets for money. I felt quite intimidated because there was alot of men playing video games in the bar. They was also very loud at night and was shouting, banging till 5am in the morning. THis was coming from the room next door.

The price! Right in the heart of the town. Location was on main st, which is lovely. It is however very busy nightlife and our room was on the front. It was a hot night & would have liked to have the window open. Even with it closed the music was blasting.

Mattress were the worst I have ever slept on. The pumping music from neighbouring business. The smoking area beneath our window. Bathroom could use a lock of paint.
