Oakside Lodge Guest House

We stayed here for one night whilst attending a wedding at the Winters Barns. Great location, quiet and rural yet still strategically located for Canterbury and surrounding areas. Room had everything we needed, including a spacious bathroom. We loved the freshly cooked breakfast and Stuart was a great host.

The shower in room 4 has to be repaired as the right knob is too tight

Was a little outside city, but not a big issue

The quiet location, extensive grounds, comfortable room with decent breakfast. This was excellent value for money.

Nous avons passé 7 nuits à Oakside Lodge et sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour; l'établissement est dans un endroit tranquille à proximité de Canterbury et notre hôte était très sympathique et agréable.

Toutefois nous aurions apprécié qu'il y ait deux chaises dans la chambre.

Stuart is a great host and makes a terrific breakfast. He even fed the pigs so we could watch!

Nothing to not like

The bed was very comfortable and the host was very helpful and cooked us a lovely breakfast.

The bedroom is somewhat old and needs some minor repairs, bathroom needs a bit of work as well. Sofa positioned in such a way that you can’t watch the tv from it, and the tv was too far and too small to watch from the bed. Minor point of course. Breakfast was a little bit shabby with its packets of sauces and boxes of cereal. But cooked breakfast was delicious.

До города пешком не дойти, только на машине. Зато свежий воздух и белочки. Номер нормальный, тихо. Своя парковка. Завтрак обильный: хлопья, йогурты, на заказ готовят полный английский завтрак, Приятный персонал.
