Alternatively, from Canterbury head along the A2050 Rheims Way and straight on through traffic lights. Take the next right-hand turn onto Wingate Hill, signposted for Upper Harbledown. Continue through the village and keep going until you see the Oakside Lodge sign on your right. A deposit may be required at the property.

The service was so personal, Stuart is a fabulous chef. Best breakfast both mornings (can highly recommend the full English!). There were plenty of extra tea bags, coffee, milk etc if you needed it and a handy self service bar. Taxi was only £9 to city centre and we also used the park and ride. We will be back!!

Ideal location for our needs. Friendly host, ample parking, and a great breakfast. Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. This was our third visit, and we have always been very pleased with the outcome.

The location is the best we've had in Canterbury. We decided to stay a bit 'out of town' but within easy access of the amenities of Canterbury. The Blean forest is basically your garden, and even though a main road is closeby, you hear absolutely nothing of that. The owner makes sure that everything is in order, the rooms and en-suite bathrooms are clean, the mattresses made us sleep like babies! Breakfast has everything you could wish for, incl. homemade 'Full English' if you like that. 100% recommended, and we'll definitely be back.

There's nothing to fault about Oakside Lodge.
