"Last road trip before autumn sets in"

10.0

The decor is striking as are the canvases and painting plus numerous figereens adorned around the property. Smart TV comfortable bed and wonderfully decorated bedroom. The shared bathroom was a work of art and very tasteful. Breakfast was superb not only great products use but beautifully prepared and plated to perfection by chef. I can't rate the breakfast higher it really was 11 out of 10. I had 3 and no room for lunch on those days evening meal at 7.30ish as not hungry at all from 8.30am

The person sharing the bathroom wasn't as conscientious as me as keeping it clean and tidy and leaving it as it was found. But not the properties fault that.

"Home away from home"

10.0

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful artistic home. The hosts were wonderful, very welcoming and accommodating. Our room on the top floor was cosy and was provided with everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. The bed was also comfortable. The whole house itself was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was delicious! We would definitely like to stay in this house again.

Nothing to complain about

"I found the Art Bank a bit disappointing and wouldn't go back."

6.0

The breakfast was generous and my bedroom was spacious.

I couldn't open the skylight in the bedroom which became very hot and stuffy by evening. As a result I didn't sleep at all well. I also found the faux fur polyester soft furnishings oppressive and not what I expected in somewhere called the Art Bank.

"Decor lovely, comfort great, facilities spot on, ate like kings at breakfast. Would stay again."

9.0

Comfortable space & beds for family of five. Generous & well done breakfast, included for excellent overall value price.

Unusually, it was a hot night - our attic room was very warm. There was a fan supplied & this and an open velux window helped, it was just impossible to cool the room. We're probably just a lucky few to experience this, as Scotland's weather isn't usually so kind!

"Lovely luxury evening with lots of treats for all the family"

10.0

This place is amazing. On arrival we were offered an additional double room at no extra cost as it was currently empty for the evening. This provided our family with the entire top floor. We were able spread out ad really relax with kids in a separate room. The beautiful decor, paintings, cushions, lamps and crockery gave a boutique hotel atmosphere to the rooms which were so personalised and luxurious. The kids loved the hot chocolate, Tunnock's tea cakes and Borders biscuits, whilst I enjoyed a roll top bubble bath using the locally sourced sample products. We just couldn't believe the value for money. And this was before we tried the breakfast! Cereal, fresh fruits, porridge, full Scottish, juice, endless tea and coffee all served on stunning blue ceramics.

We couldn't improve anything about this place. We were unable to explore the local area as it was pouring with rain, however, we were very happy to stay in our lovely room for the evening and relax as this was just a pit stop for us on the way home from a family camping holiday.

"Lovely All Round, but you do need to like dogs"

10.0

Super little place, excellent individually decorated room (the Van Gogh Room), super breakfast - you won't need much lunch if you have the full Scottish with clootie dumpling! The owner has three dogs, but they are well-behaved so it's only a problem if you really can't stand dogs.
