Vigo Retreat cabin 2

I never saw the people who ran the site, but everyone I did see was lovely and friendly and helpful. They might have been friends or family of the owner. It was easy to find and get in the cabin. The main site was lovely, good sized quirky accomodation, lovely surroundings, a pond, very near a country park The cabin was spotless, really clean, the bed was comfortable with good quality bedding. Lovely hot shower. Cutlery plates microwave kettle and tiny fridge, all adequate It was very quiet after the first day and as a single woman I felt safe.

The cabin seemed over priced for the size. It definitely could not have slept 2 people as even though the bed was a double the other person would have had to have climbed over you to get out of bed. The kitchen part was almost close enough to touch from the bed. There was nowhere to sit the room was to small, which was not a problem the weather was fine and I was out all day. The road was quite noisy, but they can't help that. My cabin was in what felt like a car park. But there were lovely places to sit if you wanted to go to the field area. Probably best not to describe it as bed and breakfast. One packet of horrible processed croissants that were only given the first day. But good to have the milk and tea.

Great value for money and a convenient place to stay.

Excellent location, very peaceful and exactly what a couple needs for a quick getaway.

There was a wasp that attacked us when we were walking around the grounds, I'm not being serious. No problems from us.

Lovely setting, just needs a little more ground care and thought. The shower was great. The villager which is 5 mins away has great food and lovely staff

On a 28° evening, having a cabin that no windows open, no ventilation apart from leaving the door wide open, the water from the shower drains straight onto the floor, so that end of the trailer outside is boggy, light switch being at the foot of the bed and behind the door was bizzare, my partner was very uncomfortable because of the heat, she wanted to go.

More options for breakfast would be lovely, like toast, or eggs perhaps but only small facility so may struggle to place a toaster in.

The views were lovely the shower was surprisingly good once the temperature settled down.

It was very cold, there was a gap as the door didn’t close properly. Also, breakfast was literally one croissant each. (Not the best either) also in the cabin we stayed in the hot tap was broken so no hot water to wash hands with.

It was clean

It was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. There was no hot water, didn't see any staff, it was basically a shed in a field.
