The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable

The kettle was plugged into an extension which should really have been straight into a socket.

"Lovely accommodation let down by brusque breakfast service"

8.0

Lovely room and large bathroom with bath and shower. Good facilities warm and cozy.

Actually stayed in sister hotel Cordelia due to staff shortages. We have to say that both days breakfast was served in a very brusque manner. Twice by the we had our cooked breakfast thrust upon us before we had anywhere near finished our cereal. Felt rushed and not welcome and questioned about our choices to the point of rudeness. Coffee went cold immediately due to oversized cups. An awkward subdued atmosphere in the dining room made it impossible to give feedback on the spot. Sad because we love a good breakfast and this overly efficient service spoiled an otherwise lovely stay.

"Friendly B+B"

8.0

This was my 2nd visit to the waves. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. It's in a great location near the seafront. Room was comfy and breakfast all made with local ingredients.

I had telephoned to let the owner know what time I was arriving but had to sit and wait for 20 mins before I was able to check in. It would be nice if someone was on the premises during check in time.

"Avoid Avoid. Avoid."

1.0

I never got there. I couldn’t give an EXACT time of arrival and they couldn’t be bothered to man the desk. The owner told me they wanted to go out with friends for a coffee and this is ‘normal’ Friends first, paying guests wayyy down the pecking order. The guy who rang me was stood beside someone coughing up a lung so loud I had to ask him to repeat. He then, just shouted his request louder. If they state arrive after 2pm then that is what i aimed to do. Driving 300 miles is impossible to give them an exact time. Everything about my upcoming stay was made evident I was simply an inconvenience. I don’t expect to be treated like. They should’ve refused my booking, knowing they cant be bothered to run their ‘business’ for actual guests. So, effectively I lost the £210 I paid in good faith. Their attitude to me was disgusting. Im glad I stayed away.

I never saw the property but after the owner was claiming bragging rights of her being a ‘ Business Owner’, I quickly surmised that my Breakfast would be cereal only as they clearly cant be bothered to accommodate their paying guests. On their website it states arrive after 2pm. Then they ring to ask an exact time cos God forbid the handover of the key takes longer than five minutes of THEIR precious time.

"A lovely stay and we will book again"

9.0

The pre-order breakfast was great with local fresh ingredients and a good choice . The property is close to the seafront and zoned parking permits were provided. Check in was smooth. The communal lounge with free jukebox, books & games was good. The bedroom was a good size and hospitality tray well stocked. The accommodation was clean.

The decor is in keeping with the building but a coat hook near the bedroom door for wet coats could be considered.
