The Waves

The host welcomed us, showed us the room and then respected privacy. We loved reading the little story behind his success. We were very well looked after during our stay. The room was tastefully decorated. The breakfast was superb. Liked the books in the landing. The place is run by people with passion and caring nature.

Like everywhere in Scarborough the seagulls don’t give you a break;)

Good choice combinations for breakfast, excellent quality of food. Bed was very comfortable but quilt far too thick for summer. Room a little small with small window. No fan provided or air con. Very little room in toilet/wash room, but separate shower

Clean and spacious. Great breakfast. Location is slightly off town centre but quiet side so comfortable location.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast choice and always hot, but room let it down barely enough room to walk round bed, a very small toilet and wash room and an open shower in the corner of the bedroom, after walking up 4 flights of stairs only one chair in room so had to sit on bed, unfortunately wouldn't stay again

Such a beautiful clean BnB, the room was very spacious and the bathroom with a large shower and even bigger bath. The breakfast the following morning was the best ive eaten for a very long time and was catered to every need I requested.

Excellent, freshly prepared breakfast choices from healthy to indulgence. Lovely clean room with plenty of drink options. Loved the games and books, but especially the jukebox, a fabulous addition to the communal lounge.

The bedroom was fine, the location was perfect, good breakfast BUT...

The description on the website said private bathroom, unfortunately the bathroom was on a different floor, down a flight of stairs. When a person of my age has to use the bathroom 4 or 5 times a night that is not convenient. For breakfast I ordered cornflakes, and hot breakfast with well done sausage with toast. I had not even taken one bite of my cornflakes and the hot meal was put on the table without the toast, the person serving then disappeared for 15 minutes, when they came back I asked for the toast, by that time meal had gone cold and sausage was not well done. Very poor service.
