Beautiful view over the river & mountains. Comfortable bed.

Bathroom a bit dingy. Price very high for what it is. We were nervous around the hosts after reading the reviews on google and some of the responses to the reviews are disgusting. I’d say your money is better off spent elsewhere and it would be cheaper.

Rooms were ok, view is nice

It's 2-3 times the price what others charge for the same. Very basic. Listing makes it sound like there's AC but only in a few even more expensive rooms. Owner (Penny) is pushy, arrogant and unpleasant. Kept asking how many other people arrived on the boat and where they went and calling them stupid. If you check reviews for her restaurant you'll see a trend. Muang Ngoy is full of nice people, spend your money with them

really nice location, overlooking the river. nice to have a hammock on the balcony. hosts were really accommodating & helpful, they came to meet us from the boat.

Beautiful huge villa/room with ensuite bathroom. Fabulous view from private balcony. You cannot really be "out of town" in this tiny village but it was probably one or the furthest guesthouses from the boat dock (5 minute stroll, if that). Everything you need food wise is within that 5 minute stroll! Owners speak excellent English and will meet you as you come off the boat.

Comfortable bed, gorgeous riverside view, very fun and helpful staff. The Swedish-Lao couple who own this, also own Penny's Restaurant near the boat pier, which serves the best breakfast in town.

Everything was on point. It was very quiet, with a great view, plenty of hot water, and a comfortable bed. The host was very helpful. Excellent value for money.

I recommend providing a drinking water dispenser so people don't have to generate plastic waste. The Wi-Fi worked well when it was on, but it was off about half the time during my stay.
