We stayed in some very nice places in South Africa but this was probably the best one. The location is amazing and the views are unbelievable. It's also very good value for money.

Good food, nice view, very friendly staff

Pictures are deceiving. To get to the pool one needs a mountain climbing certifation! You should read the bad reviews before making a booking. Never before have we experienced such arrogant treatment as a guest. The daughter of the owners does not respond to the WhatsApp, emails or calls. We asked for a refund for a night we didn‘t stay there. No answer at all! Glad, we gave the staff a generous tipp. They will probably being paid not as good as they deserve. Go for an other place where the host treat you as a guest. Good breakfast and stunning view you will find for example here: Romans Villa in Gansbai.

Stunning room, amazing views. Pool is great just wish we had better weather so we could've used it. They have one of the best breakfasts EVER! Highly recommend, def will be back when the weather is better so we can use the facilities and enjoy the view.

The weather which wasn't their fault! Check-in was a bit confusing as when I messaged to ask if we could come earlier they said yes, then when we got there they said we can't check in till 2pm. I think it was a miscommunication due to the language barrier though.

There is a truly breathtaking view from the room and dining areas. The room is large with a exceptional bed, it is tastefully decorated with a proper size bathroom. It was rainy and we only booked for one evening, so we did not get to utilize the pool or enjoy some of the other activities on offer, but this was truly a pleasant surprise on our road trip. The road up the mountain was also easily accessible with a low clearance vehicle. We had a lovely 3 course dinner upon prior arrangement. You also get to enjoy an exceptional breakfast with the most stunning view imaginable. I would label this an hidden gem.

We had no complaints, but take into account that the accommodation is far up on the mountain and while this is part of the charm and exceptional view, you'll have to travel by car to any activity. Sedgefield is down the mountain, so not really an issue.

It was more than what we expected. A little germ high up in the mountains. The view was magnificent. The evert that was with the food, the welcome note and the boat trip was exceptional.

We ordered dinner two days in advance. Upon our arrival at 3:00 pm, they informed us that dinner was not possible. Given the very remote location and the absence of alternative restaurants in the surroundings of the accommodation, we chose not to stay. The hotel apologized for the inconvenience, confirming a 50% reimbursement of the overnight cost. Despite multiple attempts, I have been unsuccessful in reaching them, and as of now, I have not received the reimbursement. In summary, it has been a highly unsatisfactory travel experience marked by a lack of professionalism and responsiveness.
