Kambaku @ Sea

Spectacular View and superb breakfast

The view of Kambaku at Sea is what makes the spot attractive for visitors, the staff tried their best and was always extremely friendly and helpful The owners cannot simply rely on the view alone, and for us being global travellers this is such a disappointment and hopefully visitors from abroad doesn't think that this is standard in SA

We booked Kambaku at Sea specifically due to the excellent reviews on booking.com and the images of the view 1- Rooms We booked two rooms and was unfortunately placed in room 3 which is right next to room 2 which was extremely noisy with our neighbours next door and struggled to sleep on our last night they were moved as we asked the owner if they could give them the room upgrade instead of us, I definitely would suggest that guests book any of the other rooms which would be less noisy for a better experience 2-Management On night one Tristyn's dad tried to resolve the issue with the neighbours which ended in a bit of a noisy scene outside our bedroom. On day two a new couple had booked the honeymoon suite and complained during breakfast the next day about not having hot water or an Nespresso machine in their bedroom and not having access to the one machine that is available for all guests to use in the breakfast area as they went for a run very early (with it being rated as best honeymoon suite in Africa they expected a Nespresso machine in their room which is fair as most airbnb at this rate has one). Unfortunately the owners response made us extremely uncomfortable with how it was handled. These guests were told that there is instant coffee in their room and the exchange turned horrible where the owner made the guests out as villains our kids had to sit and listen to this whole exchange. They left but also they were told by the owner that there will be no refund for them as they booked for quite a long stay, but how could they stay in a space that was so hostile??? We were then offered their room on the last night and champagne and chocolates which we declined as all of this was just so wrong and really made us feel disappointed and sadly will not return or recommend this place to anyone.

One of the best breakfasts i have had at any hotel. The view is breath taking. The binoculars is very useful

Access road is not really suited for a low car, and it should be communicated to visitors beforehand.

The views are simply breathtaking. The suites are large and well appointed

The coldest welcome to any hotel on our 14 day trip of SA. No manager on site when we arrived. Travelled hours in the car from Cape town and arrived at 13:00, although check in was 14:00 we were told at the gate we would not even be allowed in to drop cases off. I asked if we could have a cup of tea or coffee to kill time before my 14:00 check in and was just told no. Had to get back in the car and come back after 14:00. No nice beaches near Kambaku and no way of getting any beer or wine at the hotel. Facilities are poor, no taxis, no food take aways, no beer or wine.
