The Countryside Udawalawe

Peaceful location to relax after safari. Close to the elephant transit home well worth a visit! Lovely clean pool, comfortable bed/rooms, hot shower! Recommend eating at the restaurant, tastiest food we tried in udawalawe and nice social set up to meet and chat to other travellers - we wished we could stay longer! Rasika was such a lovely host as well, staff very helpful and arranged onward transport and allowed us a slightly late checkout.

The safari was great seeing lots of elephants and wildlife, but the vehicle was quite worn out with broken seats and not the most comfortable.

Really nice cabins with beautiful pool area. Quiet location.

Lovely staff who were extremely helpful. The bedroom was very comfortable. There's a brilliant pool area where you can relax after your safari. Our Sri Lankan breakfasts and evening meal were plentiful and delicious. We booked our safari through the hotel and it was great value. If time allows for your itinerary this is a great stop linked to your safari.

Upea uima-allas ja muutenkin hotellialue siisti. Illallinen ja aamiainen olivat hyviä vaikka tila oli rajallinen, muttei asiakkaitakaan ollut paljon, kun huoneitakaan ei ollut kuin kuusi.

Tolle Unterkunft mit ganz tollem Pool! Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Safari ist über die Unterkunft möglich. Wenige Minuten entfernt gibt es Restaurants zum Essen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

Safari Tour Guide hat leider kein Englisch gesprochen, was die Tour etwas uninteressanter gemacht hat. Jeeps waren alt und viele Dinge defekt Ich hätte erwartet, dass eine über das Hotel gebuchte Tour etwas qualitativ hochwertiger ist
