Friendly lady and very clean. Room at the back of the house so quiet

Rather old and need some repairs in the smallest single room. Noisy road with a lot of traffic so get the rooms at the back.

Susan the host is very friendly and accommodating

I would have liked to be closer to the city centre I think for next time. It’s about a 15-20 brisk walk

I had a great experience staying here and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The place was cozy and had everything I needed to fully relax, which was my only goal. Susan was a very welcoming host, and the breakfast she offered was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

Close to railway station and town

Very tiny room at the top of the house and I struggle with stairs and ceiling too low coz I’m over 6ft

Susan was very welcoming and helpful. The house was very clean and facilities such as shower and TV were great. The location is a short 10 minute walk into Canterbury City centre where there are plenty of sights to see and restaurants and bars.

We were very pleased with our stay and Susan was a very attentive and kind host. The flexibility to have breakfast virtually anytime in the morning that we liked was fantastic and the room was clean and with all details we would expect to have. The breakfast was (full English) tasty everyday and we did not have to wait to be served. Our only gentle observation is that the low height fridge in the room, super handy as it was, made a humming noise that to one of us who is a relatively light sleeper felt a bit disruptive. Access to Netflix on the TV was not possible even though we think it was advertised as part of the package. Not that we needed it or see it as a downside but we think it worth providing feedback about it. Thank you. Roberto & Ana.

Amazing Canterbury experience made memorable by our stay at Carena House . Susan is a kind, generous lady who's effort to keep the B&B spot clean and looking after her guests is truly commendable. Hot breakfast with Susan's home baked bread is stellar. Her husband Andrew, a retired pilot took us over the kent county on his microlite aircraft which was thrilling and an experience by itself. We wish to return to Carena House for our Canterbury trips in the future and recommend staying here . The place is in a peaceful location and walking distance to town centre.
