Rooms were quite tall and the place itself had some charm from times gone as well as originality. Water and kettles etc. available and some effort made to make the place comfortable. Bedding and linen were clean.

The place is, unfortunately, located right next to a park, where people were drinking alcohol next to their vehicles and listening to outrageously loud noise, which they probably consider music. The noise fortunately died down at 9 PM after what the place was calm. This also did not add to a sense of safety on premises. While this is not the fault of the owners / the property, it is an unfortunate fact and appears to happen daily. Where the property could do better is that the rooms were damp and there was a smell of mildew. A lot of surfaces, as well as TV controls were sticky on the touch, so not very clean. Worst of all was the toilet, which -if it may have been hastily cleaned- displayed very unsavoury marks of previous use.

The lady who prepared our breakfast as well as assist us in checking out was absolutely amazing.

There’s not a thing that I didn’t like about the property

The location is ideal as it is located on the route we were traveling. The helpfulness of the reception and staff was wecoming really comforting.

It was rather a matter concerning the municipality nl the last 600meters getting to the location [the access road] is really bad and the loadshedding. As we experienced cooler weather it was bearable without the use of the aircon during loadshedding but in hot summer nights it would be rather uncomfortable.
