Bagnell Farm Cottage

Basic but perfectly adequate breakfast - scrambled eggs were excellent. Quality of house and fittings all high quality. Owner Eileen is one of the most thoughtful and interesting people you could wish to meet.

The rough potholed driveway didn't suit my low-slung car - one of those SUV buses would have been ideal, but then you wallow about on the highway! Arriving in teaming rain in the half light didn't aid my cause one little bit. I read the warnings, no complaints - my choice of transport wasn't compatible but I can still hear the metallic scraping sound as I traversed the first big rut!

Hostess was wonderful. accommodation exemplary. Location was perfect for us, but not if you want walking to facilities.

Outside light was not on in the dark evening returns.

Friendly welcome, good bedroom, lovely location at the end of an isolated lane.

A beautiful home in picturesque countryside with the most beautiful gardens. We were made to feel very welcome. Eileen is a great host with a warm personality. The en-suite room was very elegant, fabulous bed and beautiful linen. You can explore the local area and come back to an oasis of calm. Also you have a separate area for the B&B so it feels very private if that’s what you like. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Eileen & Bridget.

The breakfast was 'continental' ~ quite adequate for us ...... The location was fabulous .....

The directions were a little hazy ~ we found the Sat Nav was unhelpful ~ which we were advised about. However, we discovered using the Sat Nav to the "The Lord Nelson" it was much better as a starting point.
