Ruby Cottage

Tina and Richard were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Fab hosts! The room and bathroom had everything we needed plus extras.. wine, beer, lots of biscuits! Clean and comfortable. We had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Definitely will stay again.

Breakfast was lovely, owners great, us bigger ladies don't need to take jumbo towels all provided, fridge with drinks tea caddy plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Have booked again in February.

Tina and Richard are so welcoming and helpful. The property is light, bright and super comfortable with everything a couple or a solo traveller could need. The room has all the usual home comforts, and lots of little extras (complimentary hot drinks (with fresh milk), wine and beer, toothbrush amenity packs etc - making it exceptional. We left the property early so didn't get to sample the breakfast - but there was so much choice. We enjoyed a brew and a chat with Tina and Richard when we arrived, which was lovely after a long journey. They also shared details of a local taxi company, which was useful as we were attending a wedding party at the nearby Chester House Estate.. Couldn't fault this stay and it would be our first choice if we ever visit the area again. Thank you Tina and Richard!

Lovely and kind hosts. Couldn’t do enough to make the stay perfect. Everything was immaculately clean with thoughtful details. Breakfast was fantastic.

Self-contained "Granny flat" small but exactly as described, and fine as a base. Welcoming, accommodating hosts. Good freshly cooked breakfast with free choice (full English/omelette/etc). Quiet surroundings. Nice garden.

Double bed a little on the narrow side but size limited by space.

We had a wonderful stay at Ruby Cottage. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even going out of their way to give us a lift to where we needed to go, which was much appreciated. The room was spotless, very comfortable, quiet, and we had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice. We only stayed one night but would happily return – highly recommended!

Richard and Tina are lovely and gave me ever such a warm welcome. They could not have done more for me if they tried. The cooked breakfasts were delicious and it was fab to have a little fridge in my room with water, beers, fruit juices and a dinky little wine. The courtyard garden was ideal for my dog, and the tiled floor kept us cool.

The driveway area is a bit neat to get in and out of, particularly as I was driving my van, but otherwise I loved my stay.
