Thoduwawa Beach Villa

Beautiful and unexpected oasis. Rooms / bathroom were amazing. Food was absolutely delicious…. I think The best we had during our trip. Location was great, right by the beach and a pool. Staff were lovely. We wished we had discovered it on our first night not our last. Will definitely revisit if we return to Sri Lanka.

The only downside and the reason it’s a 9/10 and not 10 is the train which you can hear but for us was not a big issue.

Plus: - will meet and conduct at any time of the day or night, as well as help with the transfer to the hotel from the airport and to other places - operational communication on WA - the rooms are clean, cleaning every day (there is no need to ask to clean the room, unlike other hotels) - there are few animals in the hotel and in the room, there were only geckoes - good and tasty breakfasts. There is a small menu of dishes for dinner. - In fact, the first line (the hotel has 2 plots separated by a narrow road), you can safely swim on your own lounger without worrying about the left things. You will most likely be alone in the ocean, the place is not crowded. - The whole territory is clean and pleasant, the pool is also clean. - Pleasant price - Sanja and your team are doing a very good job!

Beautifully designed and furnished property. Very clean and everything works perfectly. Great facilities. Spacious. Good food at reasonable prices. Lovely helpful staff.

By far the best accommodation we've had in sri lanka. A mini paradise.....clean throughout....food excellent.....staff amazing.....location right on the beach.

I loved this small personal hotel. It has 4 bedrooms and it was just perfect. A cute pool that was big enough to keep cool, but you could also swim even if not an Olympic size..The staff are so friendly and if you wish will address you by name. I loved the fresh baked fruit bread at breakfast, my personal choice of a yummy option. Made by Susan in house. The beach is right outside the second area of the property. Local to other places to visit and eat if you are out for the day. It's such a lovely place to stay, I will be returning on my next visit.

Nothing to be honest. Apart from the obvious Mosquitoes, but that's Sri Lanka.

Mr Assa, Mr Sanjee and all the amazing staff - wow - they are perhaps the most perfect group of staff I've ever seen in my travels over the last 40 years. I was so impressed with them that I actually left tips to the value of 4 times the room cost - i believe that says it all. They were so welcoming, helpful and understanding - and the owners should be proud of this - i believe they are Swiss and they have really created the most special and perfect unique space. Only 4 bedrooms with an amazing ambience and design - i could not fault anything absolute perfection - and it will be my preference when visiting Sri Lanka again

That is a difficult question - because how can you improve upon perfection? The area is still undeveloped - which i liked - but some tourists may want more choice of restaurants and bars - of which there are very few

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Would 100% recommend for a relaxing and quiet vacation. It is really clean, well maintained. All the staff is doing an excellent job, wonderful service! Food was good and affordable.

Unfortunately the beach in the area is not really clean, a lot of garbages… (public beach so not under the Villa’s responsibility) but it didn’t affect us much since we enjoyed more spending time at the property’s pool.
