Hurst Farm B&B

We had a lovely night stay at Hurst farm. The place is absolutely beautiful and we were blessed with lovely weather so made the most of the swimming pool. Victoria was very kind and helpful and made a lovely breakfast for us. We met some great people there too and would love to come back one day.

Beautiful location comfortable room.

On your site on booking.com it states continental / full English or full Irish breakfast will be available for your guests. We were offered poached or scrambled eggs. No offer of a full English at all. We ordered scrambled eggs and perhaps bacon but that was not available! Where were the sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, extra toast etc that is a traditional full English. Stated on your official boooking.com booking form. ? I had enough scrabble egg for half a slice of toast. ! Sorry but these issues need to be addressed. Or some reduction to your price as your not supplying what your advertising. Also the condiments jams, marmalade need to be fresh for each breakfast session , No spoons supplied. We used our knives as others before us.

Everything was perfect

Very delicious breakfast! Victoria’s mom was very friendly and responsive. The farm is so peaceful and I do love the oak framed house.

The B&B is located on a former farm, the views are incredibly beautiful, the gardens are gorgeous & well kept, the B&B is peaceful & the area is quiet, this is the ideal place to get away from everything, especially you are visiting Chartwell. The bedrooms are adequate & clean & the bathroom was superb. We booked the room in the highest part of the Property as it had the large bathtub overlooking the garden views, where you can easily fit two people in drinking a nice glass of Champagne whilst enjoying the gorgeous sunsets. But the room does get extremely hot when the sun is on it all day.

If you are looking for a room with TV then this isn’t your type of place, there are no TVs in the shared lounge or bedroom & if you want to stream as I did as the Euros were on, then the wifi isn’t strong enough to do so in the top bedroom, the connection would lag as the signal just isn’t strong enough. As I have my own business it’s essential that I have connection to the outside world & the mobile phone signal is non existent so Wifi is essential. The B&B could really do with a wifi booster so that the wifi signal is strong enough to stream in every room. At times i couldn’t even message so that’s my main negative. Also the listing should stipulate that there is no TVs at this site. Tea & Coffee facilities are not in your room. It. does say on the listing there is an area for this, but if you go to your room, you have to climb the stairs & drink spills are visible on the carpet which validates my point. The pillows weren’t to my Taste but that’s personal preference I think. Breakfast is basic so if you are a big eater don’t expect a daily fry up, they offer this but only on weekends only. Overall it’s a lovely place & don’t be put off by the negatives I have listed. It’s a perfect quiet getaway & the local area has some amazing little pubs, but personally to get a 9 or 10 off me it has to be exceptional. I say it’s very good boultons could be exceptional.
