"Comfortable and convenient stay"

7.0

Location was ideal for ranthambore safaris. On site cafe was very convenient

Air conditioning did not work well in the bedroom, despite keeping the temperature at the recommended range. Breakfast range was poor. This was made up by exceptional service from Jyoti who worked tirelessly to make sure we had what we needed for our safaris, including Sending us our tickets, organising food and water and arranging hot milk to be delivered at 5.30am so we could make ourselves a cup of tea before the early morning safari.

"Really nice stay and great base to see tigers."

10.0

Fateh’s Retreat was an oasis of calm on a busy tour. Great food and superb staff! The property was situated very close to Ranthambore reserve (yes, we saw tigers!) so we almost felt we were staying in the jungle! I don’t think we could have had a nicer stay, because everything had been thought through and we were made so welcome in a property with so much history! Thanks to Jyoti and Usha - so warm and friendly.

Very little to criticise.

"Amazing boutique resort. Stay here!"

10.0

Beautiful resort backing onto and overlooking Ranthambore National Park. An oasis of calm and peace with a restaurant offering nice food. 10/10 on all accounts. Jothyi and staff were brilliant and even organised a safari for us. We had booked another safari the day before and it was no where near the quality of this tour. We were extremely lucky to see mother and son tigers, a leopard and a sloth bear along with plenty of other game.

Nothing it was amazing.

Fateh’s Retreat has a beautifully landscaped garden and leisure pool that stretches out into and overlooks the Aravali escarpment. We (me and my partner) spent half our days here basking in the sun on wicker loungers reading our book. It was perfect. Jee dhoondta hai… phir wahi… fursat ke.. raat din (you think Mirza Ghalib may have had such a place in mind). All the reviews I read about the place were on point - great breakfast (simple yet so flavourful, healthy and varied), spacious rooms, showers you don’t want to step out of. The restaurant (Fateh’s Cafe) also had amazing food - we tried the Rajasthani Keema and Roti pe Boti and would certainly recommend it. Heard the Cafe spinning out some killer tracks (blues to indie rock) every time we came to sit or walked or drove by. Much better curation than what you hear even in city resto-bars. Above all the hosts (Usha ji the owner, Yudhveer their son), Jyoti the maitre d are wonderful people who help you with recommendations, history of Ranthambore, and making sure your stay is enjoyable. Equally grateful to the cooks, the cleaners, the waiters, the guards who play an integral part in running the show.

"Quiet comfortable Homestay with an excellent breakfast"

10.0

Fateh’s retreat was a wonderful oasis of calm steeped in the history of Ranthambore national Park. The Homestay is next to the home of the family of the famous “tiger man” Fateh Singh Ranthore who was so instrumental in making the park what it is today. Kind and caring staff, a really good breakfast served after morning safaris, excellent views and plenty of wildlife on the property. On our second night, a tiger came right up to the front gate! Not seen but pug marks all over the driveway. Ask about the nature walk and romantic dinner option at Khmer Villas (also owned by the same family). We loved our time at Fateh’s and thoroughly recommend it.

"Beautiful, immaculately maintained property. Comfortable and relaxing without any overbearing fuss."

9.0

The hotel has beautiful gardens and a lovely pool with a commanding view of the mountain range. Everything about it was comfortable and relaxing without any overbearing fuss. The restaurant associated with the property was also a very pleasant environment, served excellent food and was professionally staffed. I personally appreciated the availability of beer and wine.

The bed sheets on my first night were a slight bit damp, a problem I often encounter in India.
